Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Handle custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring all areas are well-maintained.
• Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition.
• Act as a porter when required, helping with the movement of materials or equipment within the facility.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Experience in residential painting or commercial cleaning can be beneficial.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.15 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Physical Setting:

• Bar
• Casual dining restaurant

Schedule:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
