Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your ability to manage guest relations and coordinate with the kitchen staff will be crucial in delivering a memorable dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing the Aloha POS system for order entry.
- Provide detailed menu information to guests, including specials and recommendations.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper food handling and safety standards.
- Handle cash register transactions, ensuring accuracy in billing and payment processing.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, fostering strong guest relations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, with a focus on guest services.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Experience using Aloha POS or similar systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- A background in culinary arts or kitchen operations can enhance your candidacy but is not mandatory.
