Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages, ensuring their vision health and overall well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology related to optometry and ophthalmology.
Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye conditions.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and other vision aids as necessary.
- Provide education to patients regarding eye health, treatment options, and preventative care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Assist in the management of optical products and inventory.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state optometry license to practice.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye care.
- Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
- Familiarity with ophthalmology systems and equipment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care in a clinical setting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
