Sterile Compounding Technician
About Us:
Carie Boyd Pharmaceuticals is a national 503B FDA outsourcing registered facility, enabling us to meet the needs of our patients and prescribers through a variety of office use products including but not limited to injectables, pellets, and topicals. Being a member of the Carie Boyd team means prioritizing patient needs, and dedication to quality. We are searching for someone to join our sterile processing team that is able to work full-time, at least 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 5 am to 1 pm.
Job Summary:
Assists in the production of aseptic compounds
Job Activities and Responsibilities:
Follows company policy to perform proper hand washing, aseptic garbing, and gowning techniques. Cleans and disinfects ISO 5, 7, and 8 environments on daily and weekly basis Properly documents all compounding activities by following strict Good Documentation Practices (GDP) policies and procedures. Retains knowledge of correct operation and ability to utilize and maintain manufacturing devices/equipment Competency in proper cleanroom conduct and sanitation by following and practicing strict workspace cleaning and disinfecting protocols Behavior represents professionalism, proper cleanroom conduct, and personal hygiene maintenance Competent in aseptic technique and compounding practices Participates in various aspects of the department including but not limited to: Meets CE requirements for high risk sterile compound per each renewal period Contributes to any workflow needs and demands deemed necessary by Carie Boyd
Minimum Qualifications:
Lifts up to 50 lbs.

Job Activities and Responsibilities:
- Follows strict policies and procedure as outlined by the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to perform various tasks
- Performs production in ISO classified environment and follows cGMP
- Working in ISO classified rooms
- Powder hood use
- Working with third party labs
- Performing data entry
- Assisting in inventory control and stocking of supplies
- Assisting with visually inspecting products for non-conformance
- Assisting with labeling products
- Meets department goals and expectations based on production schedule
- Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician or ability to register as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee within the first 90 days of hire
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Sterile/IV Certified (APCE accredited)
- Works in an ISO classified rooms for an extended duration of time
- Basic calculation skills
- Strong work ethic
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Strong attention to detail, highly self-motivated, and displays initiative
- Works independently and within a team
- Great communication skills
- Flexible and willing to adopt to changing protocols and requirements

Work Environment
- Work environment may include areas that limit wearing jewelry, body piercings, makeup, and long nails/extensions
- When entering certain areas of the facility, requirement includes but not limited to wearing respiratory protection, cleanroom gowns, hair cover and other protective equipment as needed.
