The Engineering & Construction Project Manager position will be responsible for leading project team(s) in the design, engineering, contracting, construction, installation and startup of natural gas compression facilities. Role will include interaction with operations, internal technical resources, stakeholders, commercial, engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and inspectors in developing projects and implementing strategies for execution. Role will ensure projects are completed in accordance with XYZ Incorporated's SIP and Project Life Cycle principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and direct projects while coordinating key functions with internal and external technical resources under the guidance of Project Life Cycle.
- Set up the core project team to facilitate achievement of the project objective.
- Develop and implement project plans which include cost estimates, contracting strategies, engineering design, construction, quality assurance, commissioning, and project closure to complete projects on-time, on-budget, and with satisfactory quality and safety results.
- Develop optimum compressor facility solutions that maximize the EVA over the life of the project.
- Understand the economic drivers of the transaction being developed and incorporate them into the design.
- Present and implement recommendations supported by sound engineering and operational efficiency that supports Midstream reliability targets and reduces risks inherent in the project.
- Hold project team members and contractors accountable for producing results.
- Keep the project team and key stakeholders informed of the projects status (i.e. schedule, cost, safety, etc) and scope changes that occur during the life of the project.

- Adherence to defined SIP accountabilities for the Project Manager position
- Degree of collaboration among project team and stakeholders
- Successful implementation of the project scope including any approved scope modifications, while meeting cost, performance criteria, and timelines within acceptable tolerances
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related field with previous project management experience in the energy industry preferred
- Prior experience leading project teams, managing expectations, and effectively communicating with project stakeholders
- Successful experience planning onshore gathering and processing facilities, estimating facility costs, and/or managing the design and construction of these types of assets
- Experience conceptualizing viable technical solutions, developing capital projections, schedules, and operating cost, and driving integration of the project to a successful execution through startup where the project would be transition to an operating unit
