What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beertender position at CARILLON CATERING LLC?
- Greet guests and accurately take beverage orders
- Verify identification and requirements of customers
- Process payment from customers
- Keep cash drawer balanced and follow opening and closing procedures with registers
- Pour and serve beer, wine, and mixed drinks and well as non-alcoholic beverages
- Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
- Keep bar area and utensils neat and clean
- Regularly clean windows, doors, tables, floors, and any trash or dirt with regular rounds throughout the shift
- Open and close the outdoor Bier Garten during seasonal months
- Maintain the Bier Garten bar during seasonal months
- Answer guests questions and ensure they have everything they need
- Build rapport with customers to create a positive atmosphere
- Answer basic questions about Carillon Brewing Co. and Carillon Historical Park
- Answer phone calls, listen to voicemails, follow-through with call-backs
- Maintain proper costuming guidelines and follow Dayton History Employment polices at all times
- Communicate customer feedback to the appropriate staff
- Additional duties as assigned by management
- Must be 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior bartending experience, ServSafe and/or TIPS certification preferred
- General POS knowledge, experience with Toast preferred
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail

- Effective stress management and conflict resolution skills
- Interest in craft beer
- Available for various shifts including weekends
