I. Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, the Maintenance Tech worker engages in the work and activities that repair and maintain all of Carillon Miami Wellness Resort facilities. Also performs preventive maintenance work that could involve the use and operation of technical equipment and techniques. Exhibits sound decision-making skills, productivity, and professionalism.
II. Essential Job Functions
A. Adheres to Carillon Miami Wellness Resort Service Standard when assisting guests, patrons, and owners.
B. Comply with all Departmental rules, regulations, standards, dress code and appearance.
C. Behave in a professional manner and demonstrate a friendly and caring attitude toward co-workers.
D. Show prompt responsiveness when asked to do any task consistent with Carillon standards.
E. Required to always wear personal protection equipment.
F. Personally, learn and comply with the Federal, State, Local, Hotel and Departmental Safety Regulations and Procedures.
G. Adhere to Carillon Miami Wellness Resort Lock out Tag Out policies and procedures.
H. Promote guest, patron, owner and employee safety and security through strict adherence to Facility Security and Safety policies and procedures.
I. Does not engage in, nor allows others on the staff to work in a hazardous manner or under hazardous conditions.
J. Works to eliminate hazards and or safety violations.
K. Know and be able to execute the proper shut-down and start-up procedures for all utilities.
L. Responds efficiently to emails, Hotsos orders and Radio calls while adhering to Carillon Miami Wellness Resort Service Standards while assisting guests, residents and TCM members .
M. Maintain knowledge of major and emergency equipment locations such as fire detection, fire suppression, emergency generator, departmental fire drill/response pro-cedures, emergency HVAC operation, gas and water shut off valves, main electrical disconnects etc.
N. Complete Preventive Maintenance work, including the monitoring, control, and performance of scheduled Preventive Maintenance on all systems.
O. Records and preforms daily readings of machines at Central tower, North Tower and South.
P. Perform Daily productivity report for property record.
Q. Assures the maintenance of parts and inventory of parts needed for the department.
R. Maintain and control the tool Inventory to include proper securing, storage, use and function.
S. Engineer workers are actively involved in the repairs and maintenance of the Facility and the conditions, equipment and devises therein.
T. Maintenance engineers set an example in productivity and professionalism consistent with their education, experience, skills, and abilities.
U. Log into Hotsos system daily and complete pending orders, with prioritization of assigned work.
V. Originate work order to remedy problems and or faulty conditions and ensure the quality and timeliness of the remedial work.
W. Maintains open and professional communication between management and staff.
X. Read, write and communicate instructional and other technical terms that are consistent with the job requirements of a Maintenance engineer.
Y. Support the facility’s Hazard Communication Program. This includes a thorough knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheet, product labeling, storing, and handling of materials etc.
Z. Assists in execution and quality of the work assigned to the facilities maintenance team.
AA. Inspect All common areas in all the towers on daily basis for proper operation and condition.
BB. Perform Power wash weekly in all common areas.
CC. Assists in the motivation of employees toward the attainment of reasonable work goals.
DD. Provides feedback regarding quality and work conditions not meeting Carillon standards.
EE. Performs other job-related duties as directed.
III. Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
A. Minimum of 1 year experience in a hotel/resort or directly related industrial or facility maintenance.
B. Proven leadership skills.
C. Must possess good communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with a variety of people.
D. The ability and experience to safely use power equipment and hand tools necessary to accomplish repairs and maintenance work.
E. Must possess sufficient stamina to work under all types of weather conditions and to lift, carry, push, and/or pull a variety of tools, equipment, and materials.
F. Physically capable of performing rigorous tasks including working from ladders, working beneath equipment, and in various conditions and settings are required for the normal performance of assigned tasks.
G. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
H. Possession of a valid Florida driver license.
