Job Summary
The Pool & Beach Manager is responsible in supervising and maintaining the Pool and Beach department Operation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Carillon Miami Wellness Resort policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting in training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervises all Pool and Beach team members to ensure the highest quality of guest service and F&B presentation.
- Assit with daily line ups to ensure attendance, grooming standards, participation and team engagement.
- Ensure service standards are in accordance with Forbes Travel Guide, Leading Hotels of the World, Coyle and other.
- Creates and complete work schedules, records, and reports.
- Organizes the team to ensure adequate and optimal coverage.
- Ensures pool attendants are posted and prepared for their shift.
- Supervise and monitor Opening and Closing duties from Pool and Beach Attendants, Servers, Foodrunners and Bartenders.
- Attend Ops daily Leaders meetings when needed.
- Offers feedback to the team and seek opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
- Reviews attendance and punches for the pool and beach teams and performs payroll as required.
- Assist in coordinating breaks properly to ensure adequate coverage by relieving attendants.
- Conduct daily walk-through of the pool decks, beach, storage areas, bar, kitchen, among other.
- Train the team on all property standards and conduct appraisals to ensure compliance.
- Ensure the pool decks are ready for guests (align equipment, clean if needed, prepare the area).
- Ensure the cleanliness of the pool decks and beach throughout the day.
- Assists with additional amenities and services such as water, sunglasses cleaning, sun creen lotion or passing complimentary treats.
- Assists with monthly pool linen inventory as directed by Pool and Beach Director.
- Follows company policies and procedures and severs as an example for others.
- Oversees the general cleanliness and upkeep of the pool decks, equipment, and furniture. report any malfunction or defects through the stated communication channels.
- Collaborates closely with the pool server for efficient and quick F&B service.
- Assists in requisitioning of operating supplies, to-go ware, cutlery, linens, and beverage.
- Maintains cleanliness and a safe work environment for employees, residents, and spa members.
- Follows all procedures to when handling cash, credit, and gift certificate transactions.
- Performs food and beverages inventories and other tasks related to month end financial reports.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirement
- Previous experience in customer service
- Food Handler Certification for Managers
- Alcohol Training Certification
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
- Enjoy interacting with people.
- Great verbal communication skills
- Second language preferred.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Must already be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Frequent walking and standing throughout shift.
- Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions, such as heat, cold, and/or rain
