Responsibilities

Bridgeport Hospital seeks a Spec. Procedure Tech to assist invasive cardiologists in performing cardiac procedures while ensuring optimal patient care. Responsibilities include:

• Providing pre-procedural education to patients.
• Preparing patients and equipment for procedures.
• Maintaining a clean and efficient environment.
• Collecting and documenting physiologic information.
• Understanding electrocardiograms and cardiac catheterization fundamentals.
• Ensuring patient and laboratory safety.
• Documenting events during procedures accurately.
• Maintaining educational guidelines and competency.
  
  

Qualifications include 1-3 years of experience and BCLS certification. Physical demands involve lifting, standing, and exposure to moderate noise levels.
