Carina is entering a new growth phase, entering new markets in the home care space. We’re growing and evolving Carina with a small team of experts in product design, cloud engineering, product management, partnering with marketing and customer success experts, and project managers that manage go-to-market activities.
We are looking for a seasoned professional, mid-career or later, eager to drive product innovation at a transformative non-profit at the forefront of the rapidly expanding care economy, one of the most essential and undervalued sectors today.
Location : Hybrid work Headquartered in Downtown Seattle with remote work possible from WA, CA, OR, IL, RI or NY with ability to travel to Headquarters as needed.
Work Schedule : Our typical business hours are 9 : 00-5 : 00 Monday-Friday.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Director of Product and Design will be a foundational member on the leadership team, working together with your counterparts in engineering, marketing, and other disciplines, to shape strategy, operations, and communications that guide the team to build great products addressing user needs and drive innovative, meaningful, and impactful customer experiences through technology.
You Will :
- Drive collaboration efforts and the product roadmap across offerings, prioritizing and balancing short and long-term goals, contracts, and investments;
- Ensure unwavering focus on creating impactful and valuable solutions;
- Define and articulate an overarching product vision and strategy to guide and inspire the teams;
- Align the product strategy, goals, and roadmap seamlessly with the broader company strategy;
- Discover customer needs and inspire innovative solutions or products informed by user research, the business needs, and a deep understanding of the current and evolving care industry and emerging technologies;
- Define and analyze metrics in collaboration with data science, engineering, and research teams to inform the success of the products;
- Partner closely with other key leaders and executives across the team including engineering, marketing, project managers, customer success, and others, to ensure a cohesive strategy and alignment towards priorities leading to product design and execution;
- Effectively convey the strategic vision, implementation plans, and growth strategies to a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, consistently aligning with the company's overarching vision and strategic objectives;
- Collaborate with Carina executives and leadership on business development strategy and efforts, and partner on product initiatives with external key funders and partners;
- Build, mentor, and inspire the product management and design teams to ensure we have roles and skill sets to support the organization’s goals with a commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and employee engagement;
- Inspire and elevate the level of craft within the design team, promoting passion for design excellence and commitment to deliver high-quality work that meets user needs and expectations;
- Promote consistency, scalability, and standards across all user touchpoints, leading the team to establish design systems, guidelines, and quality metrics;
- From time to time, perform other duties commensurate with the level of this position.
