Position Summary:
- The Adult Day Services Program Manager provides oversight of team members and programing. Responsible for caregiver and client support and crisis intervention. With assistance from the Director of Programs and other leadership staff, will be responsible for program expansion in the areas of marketing, community outreach, enrollment, team member recruitment, hiring and training.

Duties And Responsibilities:
Administrative
- Collects and records client information.
- Maintains Client Attendance Log.
- Maintains Supportive Records (team member schedules, volunteers, etc.).
- Maintains client files and emergency records.
- Completes monthly reports as needed.
- Assists in preparation of annual operating budget.
- Ensures monthly expenses remain within budget.
- Assists in providing information for grants/contract applications.
- Participates in organization-wide fundraising events as assigned.
- Participates in professional associations and community collaborative committees related to program.
- Participates in organization-wide committees as assigned.
- Ensures program remains compliant with organizational policies & procedures and accreditation, regulatory, and grant/contract standards and requirements.
Personnel
- Assists in hiring and recruiting team members.
- Supervises team members, including but not limited to: Program Assistants, Drivers, Nurses, Activity Coordinator, Cook, and Volunteers.
- Oversees job-specific orientation and training to newly hired team members.
- Oversees annual trainings required for team members.
- Conducts regularly scheduled team meetings as required by accreditation and/or funding regulations.
- Coaches, counsels, disciplines and evaluates team members.
- Reconciles team member’s attendance records after the completion of each pay period.
Program
- Acts as a liaison with transportation companies, Area Agency on Aging, CareWell Services Southwest, Veterans Administration, Van Buren Community Mental Health, Alzheimer’s Association, Michigan Adult Day Services Association, TRIAD and other groups as necessary.
- Supervises overall program to ensure client safety.
- Oversees and helps as needed to set up and serve lunches and snacks.
- Serves as a support for client caregivers and clients.
- Acts as a liaison to the Autumn House Advisory Cabinet.
Other Duties
- Performs all other duties assigned by the Director of Programs as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia's.
- Ability to work with team members and others to research, plan and implement initiatives to develop new and existing service.
- Ability to work with a diverse population of clients and community systems.
- Will obtain CPR and First Aid training and keep certifications current.
- Will obtain CPI and Recipient Rights training and keep certifications current.
- Ability to complete multiple duties and tasks correctly and on time without being prompted.
- Ability to use Information Technology, including the internet, social media, Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point.
- Will learn program specific computer applications.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a human services field and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience in supervising team members.
- Administrative and management experience.
Special Conditions of Employment:
- Valid Driver’s License, a working motor vehicle, and proof of current vehicle insurance.
- Pass a Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Screen.
- Negative TB Test upon hire with follow-up TB tests as required by The Avenue policy.
- Undergo a criminal background check with no recent felony convictions.
- Undergo a Central Registry background check with no abuse/neglect convictions.
- Is not listed on the Office of Inspector General Exclusion list.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings or weekends, as necessary.
