What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Scientist position at Caring Cross?

Your work will be helping to build research programs and create access to life saving therapeutic opportunities for people living with HIV, cancer, and genetic diseases.
We are seeking a serious Quality Control Scientist with knowledge and strong hands-on experience in cell culture and various PCR (qPCR, dPCR) methods, who is willing to work within a small and dynamic team.
How will you make an impact?
Working on multiple assay development projects : experiment design, execution, data analysis.
Writing : lab notebooks, SOPs, assist in report generation.
Performing quality control testing : cell culture, flow cytometry, DNA extraction, qPCR / dPCR, ELISA.
Communicating analyzed data via power point presentation slides to a larger team.
Maintaining testing databases.
Performing routine laboratory equipment maintenance.
Maintaining a safe BSL-2 laboratory environment.
How will you get here? Qualification :
- BS / MS / PhD with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Must be skilled in basic molecular biology techniques.
- Hands-on experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, qPCR, plate-based assays.
- Experience with CAR T is a plus.
- Assay development experience is a plus.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to perform independently and as part of a team.
