Caregivers provide in-home, non-medical services for people of all ages. Caregivers are dedicated to helping our clients lead dignified, independent lifestyles in the comfort and safety of their own homes. Caregivers provide compassionate care for people of all ages through professional, ethical and quality service. All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical to assess your ability to meet the essential functions of the Caregiver position. Services are provided remotely at the client's home.
Role and Responsibilities:
Companionship
o Accompany to doctor, restaurants, theater, movies, etc.
o Record personal memories
o Play games/cards
o Assist with hobbies and crafts
o Read books, newspapers, magazines or spiritual material
o Assist with mail and making appointments
o Visit friends, relatives or neighbors
o Assist with pet care
Housekeeping
o Provide light housekeeping
o Organize and clean closets
o Wash dishes
o Dust, vacuum and take out garbage
o Provide laundry and ironing assistance
o Change linens and make beds
Shopping and Errands
o Assist with grocery list, clipping coupons and grocery shopping
o Pick up prescriptions
Transportation
o Doctor, dentist and other appointments
o Local destinations (zoo, park, movies etc.)
Personal Care
o Assist with bathing and personal hygiene
o Assist with walking to ensure safety
o Transfer using slide board and Hoyer lifts (as needed)
o Offer medication reminders
o Assist with range of motion exercises
Meal Preparation
o Prepare meals, assist with eating and clean up after meals
o Assist with special diets
o Monitor expiration date on foods
Respite Care
o Provide relief for primary caregivers while they take a break, run errands or attend activities away from home
Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care
o Provide specially trained caregiving to assist loved ones and families
o Understand the behaviors and struggles, as well as the special care that is needed
Hospice Care
o Provide supportive care in the final stages of terminal illness
o Focus on comfort and quality of life
