Position Summary: We are looking for dependable and empathetic On-Call Non-Medical Caregivers to join our team. This position is essential for ensuring continuity of care when scheduled caregivers call off, accommodating new short-hour clients, and meeting immediate caregiving needs on short notice. The position pays for a minimum of 40 hours of paid work per week for our on-call caregivers, providing stability and flexibility in scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coverage for Scheduled Caregiver Absences:
• Step in to provide care for clients when their scheduled caregiver is unavailable due to illness, emergencies, or personal reasons.
• Ensure seamless transitions in care to maintain client comfort and safety.
• Support for New Short-Hour Clients:
• Assist new clients who require short shifts, adapting to their specific needs and preferences.
• Build rapport quickly with clients to foster trust and comfort.
• Immediate Care Needs:
• Respond promptly to requests for caregiving services on short notice, ensuring that all client needs are met in a timely manner.
• Be flexible in working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Daily Living Assistance:
• Provide support with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.
• Companionship and Engagement:
• Spend quality time with clients to provide companionship, engage in conversation, and participate in recreational activities.
• Encourage social interaction and emotional well-being.
• Safety and Monitoring:
• Ensure the safety of clients by monitoring their condition and alerting appropriate personnel to any changes.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Documentation and Communication:
• Keep accurate records of care provided and any observations regarding client well-being.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding care plans and progress.

Qualifications
Required Skills, Education and Certifications:

· Must have a minimum of 3-5 years professional caregiving experience

· Must be located in the South Bay Area or Peninsula and have a reliable car and the ability to drive

· Must be available with very short notice and on call (You will be paid to be by the phone, waiting for our call)

· Must be able to assess new situations quickly and enjoy working with a variety of clients

· Must have experience caring for a number of different ailments such as Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson’s and bed bound clients.

· Empathy, compassion and kindness a MUST

· Ability to use sound judgement and remain calm in a variety of circumstances

· Must be reliable, dependable and on time

· Basic computer skills as well as overall technical savviness

· Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

· Can pass a background check and provide references

· Available for day shifts

· Facility work experience, Hoyer-lift and CNA certification is a plus

Pay: $25.00 per hour
