What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Intake Specialist position at Caring Healthcare Network?
The Caring Healthcare Network is currently seeking a Patient Intake Specialist to join our team in Altoona, PA. This position is full-time, (5) days a week. The ideal candidate should be willing to learn our everyday practices and procedures, be hard-working and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Our Intake Specialist plays a crucial role in creating a positive experience for patients by ensuring they receive the appropriate care and services promptly.
Front Office Duties:
- Managing referrals and associated documentation.
- Accurately and efficiently schedule initial and follow-up visits.
- Accurately and efficiently verify insurance coverage across multiple specialties.
- Take patient co-pays and accurately record.
- Complete medical records requests.
- Complete prior authorization requests.
- Liaison between patients and staff to answer questions and provide information.
Requirements:
- Valid CPR certification.
- Insurance and Billing background, preferred.
- 2 years experience, preferred.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (dependent upon certification and experience)
