What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher/ Floaters position at Caring Heart, Open Arms Childcare Ministry?
Caring Heart, Open Arms Childcare Ministry has an open position for an assistant teacher. This is a full-time position. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and experience working with children especially under the age of 12. If the candidate does not possess formal Early Childhood Education credentials, continued education in Early Childhood Education will be required. A CDA is preferred. 20 hours of professional development is required yearly.
Caring Heart, Open Arms also has two part-time Floater positions available. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and experience working with children especially under the age of 12. If the candidate does not possess formal Early Childhood Education credentials, continued education in Early Childhood Education will be required. A CDA is preferred. 20 hours of professional development is required yearly.
The candidates must be able to pass a national criminal history, child abuse, and neglect check. The candidates must submit to a drug test, physical, and TB test. CPR/ First Aid must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
The teachers are responsible for providing a loving, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment within a Christian setting. Teachers must be highly energetic and have the ability to build trusting, compassionate, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow employees.
