Job Summary
Caring Hearts HomeCare is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals with various needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, and other disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care practices and the ability to work effectively in a group home setting.
Duties
- Provide direct personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record vital signs as required, ensuring any changes are reported to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications according to care plans and ensure compliance with prescribed schedules.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
- Assist clients in engaging in social activities and community involvement to promote independence and well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering positive relationships with clients.
- Respond promptly to client needs and emergencies while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and long-term care practices.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols.
- Proficiency in first aid techniques and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to create and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Experience in a group home setting is an asset but not required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
