Responsibilities
- The Intake Coordinator must have healthcare experience, preferably in referrals/intake in a home health or hospice environment
- Input data accurately into computerized systems, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
- Perform insurance verification to confirm coverage and benefits for patients.
- Maintain organized medical records in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Provide administrative support to the office management team as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their intake forms and any additional information required.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
- Strong 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes and insurance verification procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in computer systems and software used for administrative tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively.
