Caring Homes of Bend is a small family business in Bend, OR. We are a professional, person centered care facility with the goal to provide the very best care to our community of seniors and the upmost respect to our staff.
We can provide this wonderful care due to our small numbers, only four clients in each home! Slower pace environment, avoid caregiver burn out.
We are looking for 5hr to 10hr shift caregivers, 24hr shift caregivers and Resident Mangers. Spanish Speaking is a plus!!

Job Summary:
Our Adult Foster Care Homes are looking for a professional, energetic and warm-hearted caregivers/resident managers. We want someone with a loving heart that our residents will adore and feel comfortable with. We have several positions open from 5hrs to a full overnight shift. You get your own bedroom for over night shifts you are working. Even though it's a 24hr shift you still get to sleep in your own comfy bed. Sleeping hours are from 10pm to 6am. Caregivers get lots of breaks through out the day. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with their daily activities and ensuring their overall well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others in our 3 homes and community. Each home has a maxium of 4 residents, so caregivers don't burn out.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and assistance to patients in accordance with their individual care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment as needed
- Support patients with behavior management techniques and provide emotional support
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the highest level of patient care
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients

Skills:
-Cooking
-Cleaning
- Previous experience in hospice care, nursing homes, or senior care is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and practices
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Proficient in assisting with ADLs
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and report any changes or concerns promptly
- Experience in behavior management and dementia is a plus

Job Description:
Shorter shifts like 5-10hrs is to help the 24hr caregiver with client duties, 2 person transfers, ADL's, cooking and house work. For the 24hr shifts, cooking 3 meals (plus a snack) for 4 residents, cleaning, laundry, showers, transfers, complete peri care and hygiene regiment for all residents, distribute medication, track and record medications, help residents with any task, engage the resident in puzzles, games, art or exercise and of course be a shoulder to lean on.
Requirements:
All classes can be done at one of our locations.
EQC class (This is for people wanting to be Resident Managers)

HCBS/IBL Traing

Providing Inclusive Care
First Aid & CPR (We can set up an appt. to take at our home, Cost is yours)
A MINIMUM of 3 yrs experience working with the elderly includes taking care of a family member.
Good hygiene, nice appearance and clean scrubs
Works well with a team of great caregivers
Willing to go to classes or online and learn from your peers and the nurses we work with.
