Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Support clients with dementia care and other cognitive impairments through engaging activities and routines.
- Facilitate communication between clients and their families or healthcare providers.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
Skills
- Experience in dementia care and understanding of cognitive impairments.
- Proficiency in home care practices and familiarity with assisted living environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
