FULL TIME Caregiver Coordinator

Caring Life Services is looking for a Full Time Caregiver Coordinator. The Caregiver Coordinator is responsible for managing the scheduling, coordination, and communication between caregivers and clients to ensure that all care needs are met. This includes overseeing caregiver performance, ensuring compliance with agency policies and
procedures, and maintaining a positive relationship between caregivers, clients, and their families. The Caregiver Coordinator plays a key role in the success of the agency by ensuring a high level of satisfaction for both clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Caregiver Scheduling & Coordination:
  •  Assign caregivers to clients based on client care needs, caregiver skill sets, and availability.
  •  Maintain and communicate to Lead Scheduler caregiver schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for clients at all times.
  •  Monitor and communicate Lead Scheduler of schedules as needed due to caregiver illness, client needs, or other changes.
  •  Communicate schedule changes promptly with caregivers and clients.
2. Caregiver Recruitment & Onboarding:
  •  Assist in recruiting qualified caregivers by conducting interviews and reviewing applications with Director of Operations
  •  Ensure all new caregivers are entered into HHA , complete properly orientations and are trained according to agency standards and regulations and clients needs.
  •  Verify required certifications, background checks, and documentation for all caregivers.

3. Caregiver Supervision & Support:
  •  Provide ongoing support and supervision to caregivers, offering guidance on best practices and resolving any issues or concerns that may arise.
  •  Conduct regular check-ins with caregivers to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Address and resolve caregiver performance issues or conflicts from well care calls professionally and promptly.
4. Client Care Coordination:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and their families regarding caregiver assignments, scheduling, and care needs.
  •  Ensure that clients; care plans are followed and that caregivers are providing services in accordance with established care protocols.
  •  Monitor the quality of care provided, ensuring it meets agency standards and client expectations.
5. Documentation & Compliance:
  •  Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and caregiver records, including care logs, schedules, and incidents.
  •  Ensure that caregiver activities and client care are compliant with state and federal regulations, as well as agency policies.
  •  Report any concerns or non-compliance issues to management.

6. Communication & Problem Resolution:
  •  Facilitate communication between caregivers, clients, and family members to ensure a positive experience for all parties involved.
  •  Address any issues or complaints from clients or caregivers and work to resolve them promptly.

7. Other Duties:
  •  Assist with caregiver training and development as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving processes and outcomes within the agency.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:  2 years of experience in healthcare, home care, or a similar environment preferred.
  • Experience: in caregiver management, scheduling, or coordination is highly desirable.

Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and handle stressful situations effectively.
  • Familiarity with home care regulations and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
  • Office-based with occasional visits to client homes or caregiver locations.

Physical Requirements:
  •  Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Occasional travel to client homes or other locations.
