Position: Part-time After School Nanny
Start Date: October 2024
Rate: $25/hr
Guaranteed Hours: 25 hours/week; School year contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:30 PM -7:30 PM (flexible and shifting schedules based on children’s schedules), Potential for later evenings or weekends with 1yr old and 5 yr old during sports events for older children
Family Ages: 11, 9, 5, and 1 years old
Duties: School pickup and after-school activities (reading, tutoring, sports, etc.)
Important Qualities: CPR/First Aid certified, non-smoking, car, and clean driving record. No hair coloring, piercings, or visible tattoos.
Position Overview:
Seeking a flexible, active, and engaged after school nanny. Family needs help getting kids to various afterschool activities and or watching younger kids while older kids are at activities.
- Provide attentive and loving care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Transport children to and from activities, appointments, or school as needed.
- Assist with homework and educational tasks as needed.
- Manage daily routines, including naps, baths, and bedtime, as well as school or extracurricular activities.
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, including educational games, outdoor play, and creative projects.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the children, adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children, such as tidying play areas, cleaning up after meals, and laundry for the children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children’s daily activities, milestones, and any concerns.
- Ensure a positive and respectful environment, fostering the children's emotional and social development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a nanny or in a similar childcare role.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents.
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Background check and references required.
