Reports to : Dietary Manager / Food Service Director
Job Description :
The Dietary Aide is responsiblefor assisting with food preparation and serving meals to residents of theSkilled Nursing Facility. The dietary aide will work with the dietary team toensure that the nutritional needs of residents are met, and to provide anenjoyable dining experience for all.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist with mealpreparation, including cooking, baking, and chopping vegetables
Set up and cleandining areas and tables for meal times
Assist with thedelivery and serving of meals to residents
Follow food safetyguidelines and ensure that all food served meets the dietary restrictions andpreferences of residents
Clean kitchenequipment, counters, and floors to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Assist with inventoryand stocking of food and supplies
Handle residentinquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
Adhere to all policiesand procedures related to food service and safety
Attend trainingsessions and meetings as required
Qualifications :
High school diploma orequivalent preferred but not required
Previous experience infood service is preferred, but not required
Must have strongcommunication and customer service skills
Must be able to followdirections and work as part of a team
Ability to lift to50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Must be able to work aflexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Must be able to pass abackground check and drug test
Working Conditions :
The Dietary Aide willwork in a skilled nursing facility kitchen, which may be hot and noisy. The jobrequires standing for extended periods and lifting to 50 pounds. Thedietary aide will work with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives andfood processors, which require proper safety precautions. The job may requireworking weekends and holidays.
