Job Overview: As a Dining Room Server, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience to our residents. You will be responsible for setting up tables, taking orders, serving meals, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for serving the elderly.
Responsibilities:
- Set up dining areas with tablecloths, silverware, and glasses
- Take food and beverage orders from residents
- Serve meals to residents in a courteous and efficient manner
- Ensure that the dining area is clean and well-maintained
- Assist with special dietary requests and communicate with the kitchen staff
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures when handling food and beverages
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times
- Assist with cleaning duties as needed
- Attend all mandatory training sessions and staff meetings
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a restaurant or senior living community setting is preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
