Western Hills Retirement Village is seeking a full-time front desk receptionist to be our front-line for customer service! This is a full-time position, Monday thru Friday, 730a-4p

Purpose of Your Position
The primary purpose of your job position is to efficiently operate the facility communication system and perform clerical support in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Policies and Procedures: Responsible for following receptionist schedule/instructions as outlined in our policy and procedure manual.
Communication: Responsible for answering and operating the telephone console, and directing calling to appropriate individual or department. Responsible for greeting, directing and providing information to visitors, guests, residents, employees, etc. Responsible for explaining and enforcing current infection control policies for anyone entering the building. Responsible for operating the intercom/paging system. Must always communicate in a professional and positive manner. Must communicate emergencies, problems, or non-routine events to supervisor and/or appropriate personnel. Must maintain communication log of events for each shift.
Clerical: Responsible for maintain a current listing of residents by name and room number, emergency contacts for on-call personnel, and facility directory. Process all incoming mail and packages. Schedule drivers for resident ancillary appointments. Assist with other administrative duties as directed.
Resident Rights: Must maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to assure resident rights are protected.
Safety and Sanitation: Responsible for helping to maintain the integrity of the building. Must report suspicious persons/information to appropriate personnel immediately. Follow all established safety procedures and precautions. Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions and equipment malfunction or breakdown as soon as possible to appropriate personnel. Conduct security/lock-up rounds every evening.
Documentation: Responsible for preparing and maintaining records as instructed.
Staff Development: Attending and participate in in-service education classes and on-the-job training programs as directed.
