Non-Medical Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personalized care and companionship. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for those you serve.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, monitoring changes in client conditions.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed routines.
• Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
• Document daily activities and report any concerns or changes in client health to appropriate personnel.
• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while providing care.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving, home health, nursing home, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
• Experience in developing and following care plans is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
• A compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
