Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Support individuals with disabilities by promoting their independence and ensuring their rights are respected.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with medication administration as prescribed, ensuring proper dosages and schedules are followed.
- Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences while maintaining a clean cooking environment.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Provide hospice care when needed, offering comfort and support during end-of-life transitions.
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment for clients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of care plans and patient observation techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with people with disabilities is beneficial.
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining client dignity.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Experience in hospice care or home health settings is an advantage.
