Caregiver

Caring Professionals AFC Group Homes in Bloomfield Hills is looking for experienced Caregivers!

Job description:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs

- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

- Administer medication according to prescribed instructions

- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding

- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment

- Ensure resident rights are respected and upheld at all times

- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature

- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

Skills:

- Ability to lift and transfer individuals with mobility limitations

- Experience in home care or direct care support preferred

- Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills

- Familiarity with medication administration procedures

- Proficient in heavy lifting techniques and proper body mechanics

- Understanding of assisted living regulations and standards

- Experienced in meal prep and cooking, serving, feeding.

- Excellent cleanliness and hygiene practices

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures related to caregiving.

Required Documents:

- Driver’s License OR State ID - Active

- Social Security Card

- CPR / First Aid / AED Certification - Current

- TB Test results - Current. Within 3 years

- Health Physical by physician - Within 30

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Every weekend
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed
