Caring Transitions of Mechanicsburg provides senior relocations, downsizing, estate sales and house cleanouts to clients in Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg and the surrounding areas. We are currently hiring an Estate Team Manager to lead a team that is preparing online auctions. Primary responsibilities include: training and supervising team members; developing and mentoring the team through the planning and execution of the sorting, organizing, photographing, describing and delivering of items to be sold via online estate sale; monitoring and reinforcing company guidelines, policies and procedures on a daily basis; providing excellent customer service and personal interaction with our clients. Part-time or full-time is possible, Mondays to Saturdays (Saturdays required).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Create a welcoming and warm work environment, demonstrate a drive for results and going above and beyond in service of the client with minimal supervision.
- Ensure all tools and supplies are properly maintained, replaced and reach each job site. This will require the transporting of small supplies and folding tables in your personal vehicle as well as droping them off and/or picking them up when needed.
- Lead the team in the sorting, organizing, photographing and describing of items to be sold via online estate sale.
- Lead the team in flawlessly executed pickup days, handling follow up of late pickups, problem situations, etc.
- Communicate the results of the pickup day to the final cleanout person;
- Handle the accurate and immediate reporting of all incidents and/or accidents to the general manager.
- Monitor/reinforce safety procedures, and lead by example.
- Work with and support the owner to ensure projects are run with precision and efficiency from start to finish.
- Assist the move team in the moving of furniture and boxes, as needed (heavy lifting required)
- Report daily progress to the general manager at the end of each work day via email or text.
- Other responsibilities as needed. Saturdays required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent training required
- Minimum of one year supervisory experience required
- Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced and unique work environment
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Outstanding customer service, organizational, written, verbal and communication skills are requirements of this role
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, etc
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- Full-time role includes heavy lifting. Not required for part-time role.
- Lifting, bending, standing, walking up and down stairs required.
- Walking and/or standing for long periods of time in varying weather environments required.
- Must have a vehicle capable of transporting a box of supplies as well as several folding tables.
Salary:
- $20-22 per hour. Monday – Saturday, days. No evenings or Sundays.
