Deliver excellent customer service, while safely and efficiently helping clients downsize, relocate and liquidate items through online estate sales. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
This is a perfect opportunity for semi-retired/retired (teachers, nurses, law enforcement, military) or stay-at-home caregivers looking for flexible and meaningful work in Fairfax County.
Responsibility areas:
- Work on a team to downsize and relocate clients and liquidate unneeded items.
- Be part of a team working in customers' homes and/or senior communities to organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients
- Sort and order items for recycling, donation, disposal, and cleanout.
- Use hand-held devices to create listings (photograph and describe) of items for online auction.
- Assist buyers during on-site auction pickup days and/or estate sales.
- Carry supplies, items, and moving boxes to/from vehicles within a home or outbuilding.
- Follow best practices, health and safety requirements, and company guidelines.
- Work efficiently to deliver on-time, in-budget projects. Assist in executing projects within the intended scope, timeframe, and cost estimates to customers.
- As a new small business, there may be other opportunities to be involved in the development and growth of this new franchise in the Western Fairfax and South Herndon area.
- Note: We are NOT movers. We use professional movers for furniture and other items over 30 pounds.
Job requirements include:
- Strong verbal communication skills and English fluency required
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop a rapport with clients
- Compassion and respect for clients and their families
- Ability to complete tasks and work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Punctual
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
- Stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, hang items at or above 4 feet, climb stairs
- Willingness to work in some cluttered and potentially dirty environments (work gloves and shirts provided)
- Reliable mode of transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Must undergo a pre-employment background check
- A desire to help seniors, and their families, in the community.
$16/hour plus performance-based incentives. Part-time. Training will be provided. Company-supplied uniform shirts.
