Lead Position - Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
The Therapy Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that therapy services are coordinated and managed appropriately. This position is responsible for ensuring that therapy services are delivered appropriately and timely, documentation of therapy services meets all requirements and standards, as well as providing a point of contact for the therapy professionals at their location.
1. Assists the Regional Director with accountability for therapy staff productivity, utilization, and documentation standards.
2. Assists in the screening and interviewing process of new therapy personnel and makes recommendations for employment. Assists in the orientation of new therapy personnel.
3. Assists the therapy team in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of in-service and continuing education programs.
4. Assists therapists in overseeing assignment and supervision of therapy assistants as needed.
5. Attend assigned meetings within the community to ensure collaboration of needs between community & therapy are met. Meetings included but not limited to weekly collaboration of care.
6. Reviews case referrals as needed. Reviews available patient information related to case, including disciplines required and assists with assigning and scheduling appropriate therapists to case.
7. Intermittently reviews and evaluates therapy cases by reviewing the services provided by the therapists, including case conferences and documentation review, and instructs and guides therapists to promote the most effective performance and delivery of quality outpatient services. The Team Lead will be available at all times during operating hours to assist therapists as appropriate.
1. Assists therapists in establishing immediate and long-term rehabilitation goals, in setting priorities, and in developing plan of care on an as needed basis.
2. Completes on-site supervisory visits as necessary.
3. Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
4. Completes essential job functions of a physical, occupational, or speech therapist or assistant as indicated by specific discipline.

What you will need:
1. Current state license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist or Assistant of listed disciplines in good standing.
2. Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
3. Previous experience in related field and a general understanding of outpatient regulations and documentation requirements.
4. Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
5. Complies and maintains current CPR certification.
6. Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with organization requirements.
7. Demonstrates excellent observational, verbal, and written communication skills.
