Teaching Business & Economics Courses
The Division of Business at Carl Albert State College is seeking a dedicated and committed faculty member to teach Business & Economics courses. This is a full-time, 10-month contracted position for the Poteau campus.
Qualifications
A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics or an appropriately related field is required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as computer skills to support teaching and learning.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with demonstrated experience in community college teaching and assessment are preferred. Additionally, candidates with an awareness of current trends in their fields are highly valued.
Expectations of Faculty
The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear aptitude for teaching and be willing to instruct traditional lecture, online, and dual credit courses. Assignments may include day and/or evening sections.
Responsibilities
- Teach Business & Economics courses
- Follow departmental syllabi
- Collaborate with colleagues on textbook, software, and instructional material selection
- Maintain student records
- Submit official records and reports as required
- Maintain required office hours
- Engage in student advising, course evaluation, classroom preparation, and performance evaluation
- Participate in committee assignments and other divisional and college duties
