Job Title: Case Manager
Reports To: Clinical Director
Position Type: Part-Time (Exempt)
The Carl B. Metoyer Center for Family Counseling (CBMCFFC) is seeking to hire a Case Manager. This position is under the supervision of the Clinical Director. It is an excellent fit for someone with a multicultural sensibility that has experience working with youth and families in underserved communities. This position will be contracted for 20 hours per week and is partially funded by our agency’s Delinquency Prevention Network (DPN) program with the Alameda County Probation Department.
Carl B. Metoyer Center for Family Counseling (CBMCFFC) is a non-profit in Deep East Oakland. We are inclusive, collaborative, and client centered. Our mission is to provide culturally sensitive free mental health services to youth and their families in English and Spanish (www.cbmcffc.org).
About the Position:
- Provide clinical case management services using a social justice framework
- Work with crisis receiving home, youth, and their family to achieve a positive outcome, arranging a family crisis session and family reunification and/or other appropriate services
- Provide crisis intervention and management as necessary, including risk assessment and safety planning. Work with crisis receiving home, youth and their family to achieve a positive outcome, arranging a family crisis session and family reunification and/or other appropriate services
- On-Call availability is required during regular shift and on a rotating basis with other clinical staff on Saturdays and some holidays
- Chart progress notes, and maintain client files in compliance with agency standards
- Coordinate with agency staff and external partners regarding treatment planning, assessing progress and planning terminations
- Assist with connecting agency clients to needed community resources
Qualifications / Expectations:
- Master’s Degree Required in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- 1-yr experience working with at-risk youth, families, and ethnically diverse populations
- Ability to pass vetting process to work with minors
- Monday-Friday
- On-Call: Availability is required during regular shift and on a rotating basis with other clinical staff on Saturdays and some holidays
- Speak both English and Spanish (Desired)
