Carl Stahl is seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating tubular stranding machines to manufacture high-quality wire rope.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate tubular stranding machines to manufacture high-quality wire rope.
- Perform accuracy checks during production runs.
- Maintain high-quality production levels for assigned jobs.
- Monitor and control production processes to ensure high-quality output.
- Identify machine faults and report them to supervisors or lead personnel.
- Implement continuous improvements to operations, reduce turnaround times, streamline workflows, and collaborate to deliver exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Some mechanical experience is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical processes and measurement techniques is required.
- Effective communication skills are essential.
- Ability to handle small wires.
- Capacity to understand and follow oral or written instructions.
- Prepare accurate documents, production sheets, and reports according to company procedures.
Work Environment
- Located in a factory setting.
- Requires walking and standing for extended periods in a noisy environment.
- Standard 40-hour weeks, but overtime may be necessary based on workload demands.
- Available shifts are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with optional overtime shifts available.
- Starting rate: $17 per hour.
