Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift : Night, 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM, 3x12 Hr
Guaranteed Hours : 36.00 Hours per Week
Experience : Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience preferred
License : RN License in good standing
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Must-Have : Proficiency in patient care and documentation; ability to read, write, and speak English
Job Description :
- The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated timeframe and provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution.
- Perform all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
- Implement procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team.
- Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop an appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards and based on patient and family needs.
- Implement plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
- Modify plan of care based on continuous evaluation.
- Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and / or correcting safety hazards and incidents.
- Communicate with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues.
- Offer constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confer with colleagues to expand knowledge base.
- Identify own learning needs and take initiative to begin appropriate solutions.
- Fulfill all requirements of departmental competencies.
