What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Children's Medical Services position at Carle Health System?
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work as a professional caregiver to a group of patients for a designated time frame.
You will utilize the nursing process, trends, technology, financial, and human resources within the philosophy of the institution to deliver exceptional care.
The ideal candidate will have Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification within 2 years from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, and Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensure in Illinois.
We are seeking a Mother-baby nurse with experience in this specialty. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided
- Completing initial assessments during visits and developing appropriate plans of care
- Implementing plans of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures
- Modifying plans of care based on continuous evaluation
- Communicating with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues
- Instructing new nursing staff in breastfeeding techniques
- Documenting findings and required plans for the nursing dyad in EPIC
