Key Responsibilities
- Provides and facilitates competent healthcare for patients and families, ensuring adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Performs advanced nursing activities, including assisting with procedures using conscious sedation, placing IVs, and administering chemotherapy drugs.
- Ensures accurate documentation of care is complete and up-to-date.
- Delivers health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
- Serves as a preceptor and supports the development of other staff members and healthcare students.
- Leads initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
- Assists the Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in developing departmental standing orders.
- Starts IVs on ECHO patients requiring contrast administration.
- Responds to contrast reactions and monitors patients during DSE, TEE, tilt table, and cardioversion procedures.
