Position Summary :
The Physicist provides physics support for the Radiation Oncology department. Responsible for quality assurance of all treatment and planning devices in the department.
Qualifications :
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Masters Related Field CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Registered Therapeutic Radiation Physicist Illinois within 6 months and Therapeutic Radiology Physics Certification (ABR) If not ABR or ABMP certified at hire, must be proceeding through the certification process with progress appropriate to experience upon hire or The American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) Certification If not ABR or ABMP certified at hire, must be proceeding through the certification process with progress appropriate to experience upon hire. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Ability to take and analyze careful radiation measurements on the therapeutic and diagnostic x-ray machines.
