Position Summary :
Implements plan of care as provided by the physical therapist, treating patients of all ages. Serves as a role model in delivery of professional services and as a clinical resource for staff and students.
Qualifications :
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTSPhysical Therapy Asst (PTA) License Illinois or Board Eligible upon hire and ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEKnowledge of physical therapy principles and applications. Computer competency and EMR experience. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, colleagues, staff, and referrers. Organization and prioritizing skills with the ability to quickly refocus on a variety of tasks. Solid written and oral communication skills. Ability to recognize and respond to urgent / emergency situations. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Effective team player. Flexible hours as required for outpatient therapy environment. Understands coding and billing for services rendered.
