Position Overview :
The Admissions Reporting Analyst enhances the College’s understanding of the scope and efficacy of its initiatives for student recruitment, selection, and matriculation. Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean and Director of Admissions Systems, the Reporting Analyst plays a key role in data analysis, program assessment, and internal and external reporting. As a member of the Admissions Systems team, they will work significantly within the Admissions CRM (Slate).
The Reporting Analyst helps colleagues understand the scope and impact of their programmatic initiatives. They also help identify opportunities for refinement and innovation. This may require using data that are small in sample size or otherwise insufficient for a holistic understanding of trends and behavior. As such, the Reporting Analyst should be comfortable navigating both quantitative and qualitative factors.
The Reporting Analyst will also collaborate with the Senior Associate Dean, campus colleagues, and external partners to respond to data requests. This may include satisfying federal reporting requirements, facilitating consortial data exchanges, responding to campus requests for data and summary findings, and presenting results to mixed audiences of constituents. To support accurate, consistent reporting, the Reporting Analyst will play a key role in maintaining excellent database hygiene.
Compensation :
The expected starting hourly range for this position is between $24.40 and $25.75. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities :
Divisional Reporting, Assessment, and Planning :
- Produces efficient, sustainable, insightful reports and queries using data from Slate and PowerFAIDS, as well as other data sources.
- Establishes research questions that align with divisional and College priorities, and translates research findings into actionable opportunities.
- Connects with divisional teams including Access & Diversity, Communications, Visits, the Alumni Admissions Representative program, and Student Financial Aid to ensure programmatic alignment, equitable allocation of resources, and consistent metrics of success.
- Frames research in the context of the broader landscape of college education, including awareness of common and “best in class” practices.
- Presents findings in both informal and formal settings.
