Troy, MI, Carlex Glass America, LLC. Plan, design, engr, &launch psgr vehicle glass products such as laminated windshields (incl. partially / fully heated; defining of optics to accommodate cameras &integrated Heads-up Displays); backlite glass &side windows (solar / privacy; laminated / non-laminated; heated / non-heated), to achieve OEM customer prgm milestones. Perform PPAPs &Gauge R@Rs. Organize &conduct cost reduction wksps at supplier sites to ensure efficiency on manufacturability, Gauge R@Rs cycle times, scrap rates, &compliance w / Terms &Conditions. Monitor tooling dvlpmt processes through APQP to PPAP, &Start of Production w / 1st full run test. Reqrd travel to Carlex plants in U.S. & supplier facilities in U.S. / MEX to evaluate / buy off on plant technical reqmts; review installation of new production eqpmt, plant PPAPs & migration of new technologies; support dvlpmt build events; &lead reduction &cost / problem-solving wksps, up to 7 wks P / A. Bachelor, Industrial &Syss, Automot Syss, or Mechanical Engrg, or related. 36 mos exp as Engineer or related, engrg &launching psgr vehicle glass products such as laminated windshields, backlite glass &side windows to achieve prgm milestones, or related.
