What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Manager position at CARLEX?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS · Direct and coordinate activities of associates engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment · Implement the plant’s preventive and predictive maintenance program, including equipment failure records · Administer and manage the Maintenance Training Program · Request and manage the requisition of tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance activities · Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities · Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in budget · Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards · Provide technical support for maintenance functions · Participate in safety, health, and environmental continuous improvement initiatives · Direct training, hiring and onboarding of associates to improve work performance and familiarize workers with company policies and procedures · Backfill the Plant Manager and assume full responsibility during absences for vacation or at other times with a full understanding of critical metrics that support meeting the customer demands both in Quality and Delivery

REQUIREMENTS Education: · High School Diploma required · Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline preferred
Years of Experience: · 7 to 10 years of maintenance and manufacturing experience · 2 years of Management experience
Other Requirements: · Proficiency in planning and preventative maintenance management processes and systems · Solid understanding of Lean, 5S, DOE, and other process improvement tools in order to move the organization into a more competitive position · Experience with Union environment preferred for applicable plants but not required · Troubleshooting and Repair experience · Proficient in reading architectural blueprints and shop drawings · Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays
