What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Engineering Program Manager position at CARLEX?
Plan, design, engineer, and launch Carlex passenger vehicle glass products such as laminated windshields (including partially/fully heated; defining of optics to accommodate cameras and integrated Heads-up Displays (HUDs)); backlite glass (solar/privacy; laminated/non-laminated; heated/non-heated), and side windows (solar/privacy; laminated/non-laminated; heated/non-heated), to achieve OEM customer program milestones such as quality, timing, cost, and delivery. Perform Production Part Approval Process (PPAPs) and Gauge Run at Rates (Gauge R@Rs) and assure Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) deliverables. Organize and conduct cost reduction workshops at supplier sites to ensure efficiency on manufacturability, Gauge Run at Rate (Gauge R@Rs) cycle times, scrap rates, and compliance with Carlex Terms and Conditions. Monitor tooling development processes through Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Start of Production (SOP) with the first full run test.
