The Supply Chain Manager at AGS is responsible for planning, direction, and coordination of all supply chain activities, including all material and product related to aftermarket business. This role will lead a team that works closely with Direct Source, Finance, and the Distribution Center’s shipping and receiving departments to ensure maximum effectiveness from the beginning to the end of the supply chain life cycle.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Plan, direct, and coordinate purchasing and delivery of materials and products.
- Supervise buyers in the AGS Supply Chain department.
- Develop Supplier business relationships.
- Work with Suppliers to maximize their capacity and manpower for continuous material supply.
- Work with packaging group to communicate to suppliers their required packaging needs.
- Monitor/manage customer backorders and past due releases.
- Develop and measure key performance metrics related to supply chain management
- Resolve claim issues as necessary.
- Approve relevant invoices as they occur
- Communicate to customers item order status.
- Responsible for communicating Supply Chain actions to VP and creating presentations for Board of Directors.
- Responsible for Inventory Reports, daily, monthly.
- Creating scheduled orders as needed, updating cost price tables in system.
- Negotiate with suppliers on cost to deliver products.
