Shipping Clerk Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Pull and pack customer orders accurately from pick tickets
- Consolidate and prepare shipments using pallets, boxes, and appropriate packing materials
- Utilize UPS, FedEx, and Freight carrier shipping systems to generate labels and process shipments
- Stack, wrap, and stage pallets for shipment
- Move product using pallet jacks, carts, and other warehouse equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate professionally with team members and management
- Assist in other warehouse departments as needed
- Perform inventory counts and stock consolidation when required
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience preferred
- Forklift experience a plus, but not required (willing to train)
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and Freight shipping software preferred
- Basic computer skills; experience with MWS or similar inventory systems a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
