Position Overview:
The Carlisle Area School District is seeking a Director of Educational Programs to coordinate key aspects of curriculum, instruction, assessment, educational contracts, and professional development across the district. This district-level leadership position plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality educational programming that supports student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate closely with the directors overseeing the elementary and secondary levels, student services, and technology to ensure a cohesive instructional vision. Report directly to the assistant superintendent.
- Provide leadership in curriculum development, instructional best practices, and assessment coordination to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Oversee and support professional development and induction programs for faculty and staff.
- Monitor and manage educational contracts to ensure compliance and alignment with district goals.
- Oversee the Carlisle Virtual Academy, the district’s online learning platform. Coordinate directly with the principal leaders at each level.
- Analyze student performance data to drive instructional decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about educational trends, policies, and research to guide district initiatives.
- Support the implementation of district-wide strategic plans and initiatives related to teaching and learning.
- Support to upcoming building reconfiguration process, ensuring effective and cohesive educational programming across all levels of the district.
Qualifications:
- Higher education degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
- Valid administrative certification as required by the state.
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, assessment practices, and professional development.
- Proven ability to collaborate with district and school-based leaders to support student achievement.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal educational regulations and policies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
