Job Summary
Maintenance Technicians with Carlisle Companies, Inc. are responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, and boiler systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance work.
- Start machines and observe operation to determine efficiency and detect problems.
- Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair.
- Lubricate or apply materials to machines according to procedures.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.
- Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools.
- Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
Working Conditions: Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient temperatures, dust, mechanical parts, and pinch points. Increased noise levels and confined workspaces are also present.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- One to two years related maintenance experience preferred.
- Previous experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler maintenance is beneficial.
- Mechanical background with rotating equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills are essential.
