What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM)?
Henry Company is looking for a self-motivated, hard-working, and dependable Production Associate to assist with the manufacturing of quality product and be part of great teamwork environment at our busy Kingman facility. The Associate will ensure following all Safety Policies & Procedures, apply all Quality Control systems, and operate mechanical equipment to complete all required tasks.
Shifts Available: (both will require overtime)
Day Shift (7am-3:30pm) $19.75/hr
Swing Shift (3:30pm-11:30pm) $19.75/hr $1 hr shift differential
$1,500 sign on bonus (payable at 90/180/270 days on the job)
More specifically this position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities and functions:
- Operator uses equipment to assist with manufacturing, batching, filling, packaging, and other steps along a production line.
· Utilizes and Ensures safe use of operating equipment as trained, such as; Forklifts, pumps, mixers, valves, etc… as well as maintain high levels of housekeeping on the go.
· Has the ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical equations, understand, and follow instructions detailed on Work Orders (AKA: Batch Tickets).
· Gathers and maintains high stocking levels of all required components in a promptly manner, to efficiently produce and package mixed product as determined on Batch tickets.
· Records all required data on batch tickets, completes daily, weekly, monthly check list(s) and equipment logs as required.
· Understands KPI’s and meets production targets given per task.
· Completes quality testing and records testing data as required
· Disassembles, cleans and reassembles equipment as needed and trained to do so.
· Attends all training programs as required and sponsored by the company
· Performs required tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
· Promptly report all accidents, near misses, and property damage incidents
· Applies and follows all OSHA and Henry safety standards, policies and procedures that pertain to tasks performed.
· Ensure hazardous waste containers are properly labeled, covered, staged and disposed
· Maintain Cleanliness and possess organizational skills, keeps housekeeping at designated area as well as work site level.
· Has the ability to clearly communicate one’s needs, report equipment abnormalities, and general issues to plant leadership.
· Performs all other duties assigned by site management.
Qualifications
· Open availability, flexible to work overtime as required: After 8 Hours in a day and/or at weekends is required.
· Be a self-starter and be able work to with little or no management supervision.
· Previous experience on a production environment
· Clear and effective communication skills
· Able & Qualified to wear a respirator
· Must have reliable transportation
· Must be dependable and have a good attendance record.
· Previous experience on safely operating a forklift
Preferences
· Previous experience with DSI/Scanning devices/programs
· Basic Computer skills including but not limited to Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, etc…)
· Trouble shooting equipment and/or process skills to define problems and create or offer solutions to repair/replace that are both safe and cost effective.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to do one or more of the following, separately and/or together: stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, lift and carry containers weighing up to 80 lbs. in continuous repetition throughout an 8-12 hour shift, read, write, talk and hear.
Work Environment
The duties of the position primarily involve work to be done on the manufacturing floor, where noise and dust are common.
