Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate their growth and development through engaging activities and age-appropriate lessons.
Specific Positions Needed:
-Full-Time Infant/Toddler Teacher
-Full-Time Preschool Teacher
-Summer Camp Teacher (2 openings)
-Floater
Duties:
- Plan and implement daily lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote learning in various areas such as literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive social interactions
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and create a supportive learning environment
- Assess individual student progress through observation, assessments, and documentation
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns or questions
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning community
- Stay up-to-date with current early childhood education practices and participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of preschool curriculum frameworks and early childhood development principles
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies is a plus
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential
