POSITION SUMMARY:
The Seasonal Kitchen Crew Member is responsible for preparing and serving meals, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area, and ensuring a positive dining experience for camp residents and staff. This temporary summer position offers room and board and requires flexibility with working hours from Sunday through Friday. The ideal candidate will gain valuable experience in the culinary field.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare and cook meals for camp residents and staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
- Prepare and serve food to residents and staff.
- Clean pots, dishes, and kitchen equipment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous food service experience preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work well with others.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Culinary education or experience is a plus.
